Rationale
There is an increasing need for Europe-wide personal mobility. The requirements and specifications for a pre-UPT service based on existing and planned IN and non-IN platforms are to be defined.

Objectives
The main objectives of this project were to:

• define a possible UPT service with a Europe-wide covering based on existing or planned platforms
• specify the interworking requirements between platforms
• elaborate a charging/billing/accounting model
• specify a UPT dedicated device.
