Abstract: |
This document is the report of Eurescom P1241 strategic study, which focuses on Cooltown like architectures and telecom networks. Fundamentally, there are major potential global network and service revenues fired by ad-hoc network activity. It is necessary to engage now and to support ad-hoc initiatives. Significant ad-hoc-global networks and services developments will happen over the next two years. From a business perspective, there is a huge but perhaps not immediately obvious opportunity. Our research demonstrates that a single or few ad-hoc activities can generate considerable global traffic and global service access to the customer. Based on the conclusions, we recommend to Telco’s:
